"My Arms, Your Hearse" Cover

Of all the posts I've seen about the "hidden" woman (which really, if you can't see it, get your eyes checked...) I've yet to see anyone mention the evil looking face thingy on the cover of Deliverance (bottom left side of the mirror) ... anyone else seen it, or know what it's meant to be?
Also, of all things "hidden" on album covers, the best I've seen is Peter Gabriel's Up. There's no escaping that bizarre mug!
 
wow, I've never seen that.
Until now the only thing I saw on the MAYH cover was the "skull" on the bottom right...
 
I've looked at that cover several times searching for something, never noticed that though.
And the face thing in the mirror of the Deliverance cover is pretty obvious, so I didn't really think much of it.
The old lady in the chair in the Deliverance book sticks out like dog's balls on a cat, but I didn't see it for a fair while.
