Amon Amarth - good band, but not anything too amazing.
Anathema - i think ive listened to them before, but im not sure so ill skip this one.
Arch Enemy - Burning Bridges & Black Earth are great albums, the rest are just good
At The Gates/The Haunted - ATG is good, The Haunted sucks (the first album is ok)
Atreyu - lol, delete your mp3's and throw out all the CDs ASAP
Chimaira - smash your head against the desk and then see "Atreyu"
Darkest Hour - boring
Death - great, best band on the list so far
Deftones - see "Chimaira" and then see "Atreyu"
Disturbed - See Chimaira", "Atreyu", "Deftones" and then drop a brick on your crotch
Fear Factory - ^^
Meshuggah - ^^
Nightwish - great band, keep listening to them
Pantera - keep Cowboys From Hell, and Power Metal throw out the rest. Then check out "Exhorder" ... the band they ripped off
Paradise Lost - meh...
Psycroptic - heard good things, but havent listened to them yet
Rammstein - boring
Samael - good band
Sepultura/Soulfly - older sepultura with Max is ok - new sepultura, and ALL soulfly blows
Sirenia - ive heard good things, but havent listened to them yet
Slayer - overrated but decent, they get kinda boring after a while
Static-X - after you delete the mp3s, and throw out the cds go drink from any bottle under the kitchen sink
Strapping Young Lad - boring
System Of A Down - delete the mp3s, throw out the cds and then lay down in the street for a while
Tiamat - decent, but nothing great
Tool - ok on occasion, undertow is a fairly decent album

If you like Amon Amarth then maybe look into Kataklysm. They're not exactly clones of one another, but Kataklysm has a somewhat similar approach. Their new album, "Serenity in Fire" stays pretty high in my playlists at all times.

I wish I could find another band like Psycroptic... i don't think there is one. (anyone know if their first album is any good? I only have the second one.)

how can you fags call Strapping Young Lad boring? It has some of the most high energy and absolute insanity in their music. Devin Townsend is a musical genius.. the album City is a masterpiece. I can't say enough good things about this band.. you all need to take another listen at their stuff.
