I agree, they are unique, and quite talented, but none of that translates into strong music imo. The vox does not bother me at all. What bothers me is the boredom I have to battle just to get through a single song. Still Life is their best, but even that album is mundane. I owned every album from Orchid on up and recently sold them all back as I realized I don't listen to them any longer and truly just don't enjoy their music. Being unique and having excellent lyrics isn't enough for me...the music has to come along for the ride as well, which does not occur here.

Opeth and Nevermore are in my top 3 favorite bands, with The Tea Party.

All with totally different and uncomparable styles, yet all captivating to me. And I don't bother posting about bands I hate - such a waste of energy.
