damn this post has been here for like over a year
and iced earht is nothing now barlow left they can't contend without him, nevermore was always crushing them even though they were good but now thier pounded into dust

Barlow was the only thing on IE that could make competition with Nevermore

Iced Earth sucks cause they are all the same riff.Nevermore rules cause of their "Synthetic mind" Loomis their exelent theatric voice Dane and their rythm section Williams, Shepard.The only guy that counts in Iced Earth is their Drummer Richard Christy.Check his amaizing drum playing at the "Sound Of Percerverance" Death album.

Iced Earth was always teetering on the brink of becoming a full-fledged butt-rock power metal band. What i always thought seperated them from that was the ass-kicker riffs and the gravelly, angry howl of Barlow. I have now realized that i was wrong. The ass-kicking riffs do nothing to prevent this, all it takes is ball-less wailing singer to destroy a great band and make them rock of the butt. *sigh*
