Ah no don't think so, it was certainly a bit early but not too early as you state .
I think that there won't be any loosers, because I mean, there are so many people on Earth that IMO both companies will sell pretty much the same quantity of systems.
I mean, HD has porn and Blu-ray has Blockbuster, so it's pretty much of a tie, at least nowadays .
If Sony makes some real smart movies they might win, but I dunno they're a bit fucked up right now IMO hehe .
Well, these technologies are not yet for Europe then: US and Japan are ready for them. DVD and HD-DVD/Blue-Ray discs cost the same or just a little bit more, 1080p/42" panels start from $1500, Blue-ray players - from $500 ($600 for PS3). If you want one and isn't a bum - it's totally affordable.
I think Montreal would be the best place. From what I've heard/seen online, the crowds there are really awesome... Plus it is still in Canada, and I have a place to stay if I need to go there.
