My guess is EQ...but with all the analogue emulation/layering (VCC/VTM), isn't all getting a bit too much, too thick? I hope we're not entering a period where every mix is saturated to the max, as opposed to the time where everything was dry and digital.
Anyway, I hope it complements the other plugins nicely.

this is the ONLY clue (and only because of your post) that I've been able to find!
"Virtual Buss Compressor" definitely works but what if the "C" stands for "Collection", haha. Could be "Virtual Buss Collection" but that's too much of a broad stroke in the naming scheme, knowing Slate's naming schemes...
Either way I'm sure it's AMAZING. Fabrice has already assured me it will definitely cause a lot of excitement and we all know SD, they don't release 'boring' plugins, haha... soooooooooooo..
I know Steven always wanted to expand upon and improve the comp in FG-X and a COLLECTION of BUSS COMPS would be amazing...not sure how they'd configure a GUI for something like that given how they like an 'everything on one plug' philosophy which I personally LOVE...
I HOPE it's not a virtual buss compressor!!! We just ordered our first 'real' analog 2BUSS ssl-type comp!! hahaha
