My guess is EQ...but with all the analogue emulation/layering (VCC/VTM), isn't all getting a bit too much, too thick? I hope we're not entering a period where every mix is saturated to the max, as opposed to the time where everything was dry and digital.

Anyway, I hope it complements the other plugins nicely.

So the 70's and 80's and a big part of the 90's were a bit too much then? Since big neve/ssl/api/amek consoles, tape machines and outboard were used with no signs of a computer.

It's not because of VCC and VTM that we're hearing super saturated mixes... that's been going on for ages

I was referring to the bedroom wonders like myself, who can't help themselves with toys like this...you know, 3xVTMs + 2xVCCs on each track, 2xanalogue buss compressors on each buss...

My guess: FG-Q, availability of the new Siren speakers, and the Raven console redesigned

What I'd like to see/My dream: FG-Q Mastering EQ (with Massive Passive, Sontec, and GML emulations), FG-X v2, More VCC Consoles, Modeled Channel Strip add-on to VCC for each console, Master Buss Compressor with SSL emulation (AKA different from FG-Comp)

HM-2 plug-in is hilarious. With a switch for Japan version versus Taiwan and a knob for emulating when the battery is dying

I didn't even think about it until people mentioned it, but now I think it would be pretty cool. The Duende Channel Strip is awesome FYI

Well Steve's tweet said "3 Major Slate Product Announcements," which could certainly include one or more Slate Pro Audio hardware pieces. He's also talked about redesigning the Raven and that it would be unveiled soon, and he's been posting pics of the Siren prototypes. Personally, I'm a software and ITB guy with a low budget, so I care much more about Slate Digital products.
