My guess is EQ...but with all the analogue emulation/layering (VCC/VTM), isn't all getting a bit too much, too thick? I hope we're not entering a period where every mix is saturated to the max, as opposed to the time where everything was dry and digital.
Anyway, I hope it complements the other plugins nicely.
This doesn't make much sense..
So the 70's and 80's and a big part of the 90's were a bit too much then? Since big neve/ssl/api/amek consoles, tape machines and outboard were used with no signs of a computer.
It's not because of VCC and VTM that we're hearing super saturated mixes... that's been going on for ages
3!? Fuck maybe we're getting a channel strip, mastering eq AND mastering compressor?!
I didn't even think about it until people mentioned it, but now I think it would be pretty cool. The Duende Channel Strip is awesome FYI^I would love a VCC complimenting Channel strips. Would really like to try a faithful SSL EQ/Comp.
I think the monitors would be released through Slate Audio? No idea though. We'll just need to be patient.
There was a picture of someone working on some sort of hardware unit the other day too.
