NFL 2009

Both of those games were amazing to me last night. Right after the Pats scored that first td in the fourth and were kicking it off I said to myself, "And this is where Buffalo chokes on a big one and loses the game." And wouldn't you know it, Leodis McKelvin fumbles the kickoff handing the Patriots the game.

Basically the same thing happened in the Raiders-Chargers game. Shitty teams always find a way to LOSE games but yet Rivers and Brady are hailed as "heroes" because of they were on the winning team even though they played like shit most of the game. Oh well. It was encouraging to see how awful the Pats defense was for most of the game. Manning is going to have a field day on that defense.

If the Patriots play anywhere as bad like they did against the Bills against the Jets they are going to get molested.

If that game showed anything they are very vulnerable to the the screen and well the Jets have Leon Washington so it is kind of a winning combination for the Jets.

Plus Revis SHUT ANDRE JOHNSON THE FUCK DOWN! He should be able to at least take Moss out of the game for some time.

I don't get how it's the Pats playing bad versus the Bills D actually showing up. Sure dropped balls were plaguing the pats early on, but our D for once wasn't a joke against a supposed top-tier offense. Give credit where credits due. It's not like the Dallas game last year where Romo had like 5 picks and they won at the last minute, the offense only sparked because they totally changed their passing scheme

Yeah, the Bills being able to score 17 points on the New England defense had nothing to do with losing half of their starters and then Mayo going out in the first quarter. Obviously the Bills have improved on both sides of the ball from last year, and they played an excellent first 50 minutes. But the biggest storyline of that game should be that the Patriots are a vulnerable team and can be taken advantage of.

Also, the Bears will not beat the Steelers.

That's a bull cop-out. Pats have some of the best scouts and coaches to bring anyone to speed, only thing I could maybe give credit to would be the DE position with losing Seymour recently, but I won't take that. our backup RB was in and Trent didn't choke

 Once again...blinders and ignorance. Please don't ever again mention that DB Rivers and Brady in the same sentence...even you should know better than that!

The facts, wich I like to state unlike some...Brady was rusty as expected and shakey at times...yet was still Tom terrific. Especially at the end delivering two clutch scoring drives for the win. He did not "play like shit for most"...and even in some eyes if he did (wich he didn't) he still was heroic in the end. Of course he was handed the game and oppurtunity from "choking Buffalo" right?...wrong! The Pats simply fooled the Bills by disguising the onside kick, wich didn't allow for Buffs best return team and then kicked deep. Another brilliant coaching move from Bill B., there is a reason that Gruden (who would have on-side kicked) is now in the booth and Bill is still on the sidelines. Then the Pats did what great teams practice and carry-out...a great stick by Merriweather and then the 2nd guy comes in and strips the ball. Sure, the dummy returner should have taken a knee, but the Pats simply caused the turnover and made the play and took advantage of the opp. Nothing was choked or handed to them.

I'll be the first to say (with hatred at said teams but without ignorance & blinders) that the Jets have a great chance to win this week against the Pats and I wouldn't be surprised if a Peyton carves up the Pats 'D' down the road? Pats still seem vulnerable and a bit rusty. Yet, they have many weapons and great potential to win again.

Pats got lucky as fuck. The Packers got lucky too, but they almost got fucked over again by a horrible illegal contact call on Al Harris.

The thing is though dude - that was the kind of game they would have lost last year. It doesn't matter if it was luck, shitty play calling by the Bears or what, they won a game they would NOT have last year.

They stepped up and made the play when they needed to unlike so many other times.

Oh, you don't have to tell me about last year. That was horrific. But I was sure that the refs were going to take the game out of their hands, as that happened a lot last year as well. Also the defense choked almost every time last year, it wasn't Rodger's fault they lost those games.

Any Patriot fan who came out of last night feeling comfortable about their situation after lucking out a victory over the Bills is seriously blind.

Yeah, but in fairness, you do think that about every single game ever played.

I stated my negative thoughts about the Pats...yet could also reasonably look at it as not playing your best and still winning. Thats not blind...just realistic.

Of course it was just luck in winning right!?!
Maybe good teams just take advantage and make plays...even if it seems like an improbable win. Do people actually read my entire posts? There actually is a difference between die-hard fans and homers. Homers are blinded, ignorant, and go out of thier way to put down others to ease thier own insecurities and teams failures...like most here. I can't afford nor choose to do this, given the success of my teams, the hatred toward me and my teams, my serious but at times all-in-fun nature...wich some may mis-understand?... etc, etc.

There are a few here that I believe know thier sports and I get to a point...if i'm being to serious-please let me know...would love to continue? Or maybe I should've already known this isn't the place for me, my teams and my intelligence.:p

Seriously, enjoy the season FUCKNUTS...its only sports.

1) Why do you visit a metal forum solely to talk about sports?

2) I wasn't necessarily talking about you, but your post did seem to have some contradictions between being aware of weaknesses and being oblivious to the fact that the Patriots are very lucky to be 1-0 right now.

Yeah, but in fairness, you do think that about every single game ever played.

Can you deny that it seems like that very often? I don't think so. I'm not trying to say that only the Packers are victimized, but there was a terrible call in a big spot in almost every loss last year (not that they deserved to win every one of those games). The refs themselves do not call the game with any sort of consistency.
