NFL 2009

Pittsburgh won't be able to handle Baltimore.

The Ravens defense is nothing like it was last year and Pittsburgh's offense is just as good as the Ravens. They're pretty evenly matched. It'll be between them for the division this year. I don't think the Steelers have played the best football they will play this year at all.

The Patriots beat a winless team from the south in the snow. I don't know, I'm not about to jerk off over that. The Saints beating the Giants and the Vikings beating the Ravens were more impressive victories today.

As hard as the Bears tried to lose, they only lost by a touchdown - with a chance to tie late. I don't know how mad to be. I think talent-wise, they are about as good as Atlanta, but tons of egregious mistakes cost them. Unfortunately, this particular loss is going to make it hard to finish better than sixth in the conference (assuming Atlanta goes on to finish fifth). Fortunately Philly crapped the bed today. It'll be between Chicago, GB and Philly for that last spot the rest of the season. That Bears running game is as bad as any in the league. They should just throw 50 times a game now unless they plan on making changes in the O-line.

Yeah, this past win is what has finally put me over the top. The Saints are the best team in the NFC.

I'm even surprised at how good they are. I never expected our running game to be as good as it is, I never expected our defense to be as good as it is (I was thinking somewhere like top half of the league, but a top TEN defense!!!), and I always thought that Brees made the O-line look better than it is, but against the Giants front four they played better than the Patriots '07 O-line did and I always joked about that line being God's personal body guards.

All that combined with one of the most volatile passing games in the league and its just scary how good they've turned out to be.

Surpassed even what I figured we'd see from them.

The latter are much more impressive victories. I knew the Pats would win...thinking like 30-10 or something?...but 59-0...that falls more on the Titans who completely layed down and were an embarassment to the NFL yesterday.

Take a look at this horrible list of NFL news headlines:
