NFL 2009

No problem.

Ugh, I just read that Aaron Smith is probably going to be out for 3 months. I guess that moves Travis Kirschke up to the main starter, and Ziggy Hood will definitely see more playing time. Troy Polamalu and Willie Parker will be back this week though, so I still think the Steelers are better now than they were last week.

Smith is a big loss but Kirschke is pretty solid and I would love to see what Hood can do.

on another note : Saints vs Giants is going to be a sick game. I really hope the Gmen shut them up tho. Too much hype.

follow-up on injury news (from SI.com)...

-A. Smith IR'd done for season with torn rotator cuff...Pitt resigns Rashon Harris.

-A. Vinateri out 4-8 wk.s with rt. knee surgy. Colts sign K M. Stover.

I'm glad they were able to get Harris back, they were big on him in the preseason and were disappointed to have to cut him. They wanted him on the practice squad, but the Panthers picked him off of waivers. Hopefully he turns out to be another productive Steelers defensive lineman in the future.

Too much hype? They're the real deal.

The Saints have the strongest margin of victory and have faced better opponents than the Giants AND Colts. I don't think I need to remind you that we molested the Eagles secondary, and in the two games afterwards we allowed only TWO offensive touchdowns. (One coming off a fake punt pass and the other off a Thomas Jones run following a Reggie Bush fumble.)

Giants, Saints & Colts...safe to say "the real deal(s)" and mainly get thier hype because they are really good right now and probably deserve it. Sure it may get overhyped at times (media / markets etc)...but its not like overkill FAVRE-IN-A-PRIMETIME-GAME hype.:)

I agree with you that the Giants Saints & Colts are the best teams in the NFL as of right now. I also agree that they are all overhyped by the media/markets but they are all playing great football right now so they deserve it.

Gators win! Woo!

Greenbay VS Detroit = Meh. Maybe Culpepper can play the entire game like a decent quarterback instead of the fancy runs. Well the fancy runs seem pretty good, but that shit only goes so far if ya can't complete passes for fuck sake.
