NFL 2009

Good Monday Night Football game last night! Sadly, the Chargers lost  But it was a good game. They seemed to have played the whole game, which they do not always do. The game was won by the controller of the line of scrimmage. Denver controlled the line on both sides of the ball, and that is hard to overcome. We put no pressure on Orton, and they put a lot of pressure on Rivers. I thought we did pretty well otherwise. We are really missing Nick Hardwick (center) and Jamal Williams (nose tackle). The anchors for both of our lines.

That really didn't take much.

I'm not sure what this is supposed to mean. The Saints beat the team that I considered to be the best in the NFC pretty handily. Up until then I was pretty skeptical about just how good the team actually was. Just makes sense to me.

I'm starting to believe in the Broncos now too. They just keep winning. You can't really argue with that. Granted that the Chargers have a porous defense, but they have a legitimate offense, and they did a good job stopping them.

The Steelers' next two games are at home against the Vikings, then (after a bye) away against the Broncos...should be interesting. They haven't really played any serious competition yet.

The Steelers should stomp the Vikings, who are not that good. All it takes for Favre to suck assballs is a few knockdowns. And they got tore up by Flacco.

Packers had a hallow 26-0 victory. They couldn't get the run going and the Offensive line allowed 5 sacks, but 2 or 3 of them were Rodger's fault. And Clifton got hurt again, I don't know how bad it was though. Hopefully they can get Tausher back on the line and actually have some success running and protecting the qb.

Yeah, they have some defensive issues to work out, that's for sure. They gave up two game winning drives in those two losses. They're being outscored in the fourth quarter by like 40 points or something. And even though they only gave up one defensive touchdown on Sunday and no points in the fourth quarter, it was against the Browns, so that's pretty meaningless. Polamalu's back (and had a nice interception), but he is without a doubt not playing 100%. He's clearly slowed down, but I've read that it's mostly because of the extremely protective brace that he's wearing more so than it is from the injury. Hopefully he can have a clean game next week and get some rest for the bye week. With Aaron Smith out for the season, they really need Kirschke and Hood to step up as well. I don't know what they're going to do against the Broncos with Ryan Clark probably not playing. He almost died there last time because he has some kind of medical condition that the high altitude is seriously not good for. Hopefully they don't use Keiwan Ratliff because he fucking sucks.

I think the Steelers will win that game against Denver. I'm still not high on them and they should not be undefeated.

Well obviously they were extremely lucky to have won that first game, but other than that, they have played pretty consistently well. They key is minimal turnovers. They're kind of what the Titans were last year.

Going by points/TDs the Saints have the #1 offense in the league (still), #2 ranked passing game, #1 rushing game, #6 overall defense, #5 rush d, and #4 passing D.

Nuts.
