NFL 2009

The Colts have had 2 other chances to go undefeated in a season and they basically blew it off. If any team could it would be the Colts but I don't think they really give a shit. And I kind of agree. I'd much rather just win the fucking Super Bowl. !!

If the Saints can beat the Patriots and Cowboys, they have the easiest remaining schedule in the league. They could realistically, but I don't want to see it happen. I'd rather us lose 2-3 or so games in the season and then win out in the playoffs.

You just want your Patriots to be the only team to go 16-0 in the regular season.

If anything I think the Saints deserve it more than the Patriots did because they're actually a classy team on top of playing great football.

No but there vs both the colts and the saints so I have to root for them but I wouldn't mind if the Saints go 16-0 because I like them too but I hate the Colts. Can't stand seeing Peyton Manning being in every commercal.

Tom Brady's face is far more irritating than Peyton Manning's

But... atleast they dont look like...

I don't want either the Colts or the Saints to go 16-0 this year solely because Mort Divine and King Drunkard are really obnoxious and annoying about sports. Otherwise I wouldn't care.

I find it amusing, and inaccurate, that the "experts" on NFL.com have the Steelers at #3 in their power rankings, I guess just because they beat the Vikings. I would wait until I see how they fare against the Broncos before I start putting them in the top 3. Top 5 right now is even arguable. They still haven't put together a single complete game.

People who evaluate an individual player's skills based on super bowl rings reveal their own stupidity. A lot of shitty players (re: Mitch Berger) have super bowl rings, while lots of superb players (re: Dan Marino) don't, so it's a poor barometer at best. And I say this as a fan of Ben Roethlisberger, who has more super bowl rings than Manning and won one at a younger age than any other quarterback. Manning IS better than EVERYONE, and it is science.

...

Unless you're dealing with a inter-divisional rivalries, it is usually fans that cause people to hate certain teams. I know that is where my hate for the Cowboys comes from.

How am I obnoxious about sports?

Agreed.

Obviously, winning a ring doesn't automatically make you a great QB. But I'm also sick of hearing the "shitty players won some and some great players never have" tagline...this isn't the point. Not a news-flash here, but, the facts are that in the past or present real good QB's have won some rings and actually played a pretty good part in doing so. I don't like Big Ben but his rings didn't just fall into his lap like some have to other stiffs. He deserves and earned them and can boast about them...sometimes guts and leadership count for more than stats, technique and such?

I'll take the word of a guy like Steve Young...who when asked lastnite wich QB he would take over Drew Brees to start on his team? Young mentioned the 2 best and hardest working QB's in the NFL are Brady and P. Manning! However many rings either guy wins?...like the player or not?...both have and will play a big part in attaining them. Having rings on thier resume will count for something...if and when talked about being amongst some of the best?
