NFL 2009

The Saints have had a ton of cupcakes. Don't try to tell me Washington is any good.

They have the #4 ranked pass defense, its just they can't stop the run. Today their defense just dominated the game, and it happened to be a fumble off an INT that won us the game.

I think you need to stop talking out of your ass. This isn't college or the fucking BCS. A win is a win, and that's the way it should be looked at. Both teams are 12-0. Both teams have wins over common opponents and obviously beat them. What is your argument here? Arguing strength of schedule is utterly stupid. The Saints blew out the Patriots, the Colts had a huge come from behind win. Who cares? They both won the game. The Colts blew out the Rams and the Saints barely beat them. Does that all of the sudden mean the Colts are so much better than the Saints now because they blew out a shit team and the Saints didn't? How about being taken to overtime by a 3-9 team, that clearly must diminish the win in some fashion even though they came out with a win right?

The point is your argument holds no water. Both teams are undefeated, end of story.

Also, I swear to god, the next person who says that the Colts are lucky to be 12-0 is getting cockslapped into oblivion.

quit acting like a little hurt fan boy, the colts had near losses against some easy teams too. The redskins though are not the browns/raiders and to say they suck is quite hilarious. They've had some good seasons in the past couple years or so.

9-3

7 wins in a row.

To be honest, I don't know why he got so upset about saying the Colts got lucky in a few games. I think just about anyone is willing to admit that unless you're dominating teams by large margins every game, you're going to need a bit of luck to get by sometimes.

Saints, for example, got lucky as hell that the Skins kicker missed a chipshot field goal.

King has a point tho. 12-0 is not easy in the NFL no matter what your schedule.

and the fact that they win 12 or more consecutively is really just insane.

but still, wins and losses get you into the playoffs. The good teams get to their conference championship game.

Well teams like the Browns and Rams don't make it to the playoffs because they haven't won a lot of games where the Colts and Saints make it because they have won enough games to make it to the playoffs. You don't often see two teams that are 12-0.

That's my fucking point you asshole! THEY WERE NEAR LOSSES, NOT LOSSES!!!!JKOrojadgpaosgj

Jesus christ monkey balls you are not good at analyzing NFL teams.

I'm not upset, but like Dodens often says in this thread, there are some absolute idiots who talk shit in this thread.

My point is dude, yeah the Saints were fortunate, NOT lucky, that the Suisham missed the field goal, but that's NOT WHY THEY WON THE GAME. They won the game because of resiliency, talent, and coaching. I'll explain:

Down 7 in the 4th quarter, Suisham shanks a gimme FG. Of all the things I'm about to list, one could argue that this was "lucky" but I would disagree. Kickers miss field goals all the time. I'd be more apt to say that the Saints were fortunate that they were playing the Redskins, kicker and all.

After the missed field goal, the Saints still had to drive the length of the field and score a TD, not a FG, only to TIE the game and send it to overtime. That's not luck. The Saints have shown all season long that they can score at will, so it was no surprise to see Brees shred the Redskins' secondary to tie the game.

The lost the coin toss in overtime, how anyone would consider this lucky is beyond me.

The Saints defense came up big and stopped the Redskins offense in their first drive. Not even remotely fucking lucky. The Redskins' offense has been inept all season long and just like it was not surprising to see Brees torch the Redskins' defense to tie it, it was not surprising to see the Redskins offense crumble in crunch time.

The Saints capitalized on the Redskins' horrible offense, drove the field and kicked the game winning field goal.

Nothing I just listed has anything to do with luck. The old football adage is that bad teams lose games, and good teams win games. This is a prime example of that saying. Having said that, this is the same shit that the Colts have been doing all season which no one here seems to fucking understand. You people need to dig deeper into these games instead of looking at the game highlights and labelling the Colts lucky, and the Saints as well for that matter. Luck does not determine 99.9% of these NFL games.

Does everyone get it now?

7 straight seasons with at least 11 wins, 6 straight with at least 12.

Agreed on your last point.

Colts are good, no doubt. I hope they lose to the Chargers though, I want to see a different team in the super bowl.

Packers v Ravens tonight. It's a home game so I think they can win, and they have to win to maintain the card lead.

And yesterday marked the first week in which the Favre has peaked and is no falling down.

No that was not your point. Your point was to cry because someone bashed your favorite team, boo fucking hoo.

Damn, quit being a whiny little bitch, and get over it. The colts may be good, but the fact remains- they have an easier schedule compared to the saints. I'm positive if the colts were in the same mess on sunday in the 4th quarter against the skins they would certainly of lost.

You don't know what you are talking about and I find it amusing.
