Back to football (if anyone wants to get into that more, move it to the Dak n Pat thread lol):

How about that fucking Dallas defense?? If the D continues to get healthier, I think this might turn into a 15ish ranked D, which would be phenomenal. McClain made a Lee-esque sort of athletic pick, and he is getting all over the field. Pass protection on the o-line hasn't been perfect, but the line is busting Murray free. I'm not as pessimistic as I was say, prior to the preseason.

Edit: BTW, RG3 will not be on the Deadskins next year.

McClain's interception was ridiculous. I agree with you about RG3, they are so much better with Cousins.

I think Arizona and Houston should prob be a little higher, and the Packers a little lower. Overall a pretty fair ranking though. And the gifs are great.

They're an average team at best.

I don't think you give them enough credit. If Russel Wilson was QB instead of 2nd yr EJ you'd think they'd be a top10 team. Playing good against the Bears and Dolphins makes them pretty good. Panthers are basically pretty similar to us, yet you rank them 4th with no WR's or RB's to speak of. Sure their D is a tad more solid than ours, but our offense probably equates that difference out.

Dak, You might be right about the Cards but I don't trust Palmer. Let's see the Texans beat someone. I love the Packers this year so I'm biased; just wait to their Lines gel and Matthews and Peppers start dominating.

rms, the Bills are pretenders, I promise. The Panthers D is leaps and bounds better than the Bills lol c'mon. The O's are similar.

Pretenders is a weird term when you think of how they won games. If their offense was actually doing something I might agree(think Fitz a few years ago when we went 5-0) but really we've won games by a stout D and eating up the clock with the running game. Dolphins at home beatdown isn't much, but to throw the Bears win at Soldier Field is kind of a big deal. SF couldn't even take 'em down @ home and a huge lead!

You're putting way too much stock into 2 games. Do you know how many times a team that started 2-0 finished 5-11? Millions of times. You can't properly assess a team until about week 6.

Beating the Bears doesn't mean shit. They were like 8-8 last year, and their defense has been declining for years.

This is such a silly perspective. So why have power rankings at all? Why not wait until week 12 for power rankings, AP polls, coaches polls etc. Teams that aren't dependant on luck are usually going for the long haul.

I didn't say we are going be to 12-4 or anything crazy, but there's no reason to rank some teams above us. Panthers? How are they 15 spots better than the Bills? Because of Cam? Cardinals? Sure their defense is a tad more solid than us, but we are probably better than them in every other area. Beating the Bears means alot, away game victories mean alot. Saints cant win a game away from home but won a super bowl, same was said of the Seahawks last year (going to win the SB because they played at home).

I mean that's really stupid as I don't care about either but there's no way the Bills get 6 wins or less unless major injuries occur

Power Ranking are meaningless. So are the AP and Coaches Polls for the first half of the season. How often do you see teams ranked after week 2, unranked by the end of the season (and vice versa)? Lots.

The Seahawks went 6-2 on the road last season.
