NFL 2014

Nice of the Bears to hang on and win. It's tough to take two straight road games in prime time. I'd feel better if they had a healthy safety. They were down to about their 6th guy by the end of that one. Fuller looks like he's going to be a player though. Already successfully executed the Peanut Punch, and he finds the ball.

Cutler is the best QB in franchise history by far, and none of the fans trust him or think he can ever win a Superb Owl. When he doesn't make costly mistakes, he wins lots of games. He's actually 7-1 in MNF games. He's like Romo in that he's a high upside/high downside QB. Sometimes that works if all the other pieces fall into place. A Flacco or Eli Manning can put it together long enough to win big. But 31 starting quarterbacks don't win a championship every year. It won't happen for some really good ones.

i liked the 2 really bad calls. clear offensive pass interference called as jets defensive pass interference. a cutler fumble that would have given the jets a TD was at first called as cutler being down by contacted, reviewed and reversed but the TD didn't stand because the ref blew the play dead like a choad

Jets need to play Vick week 4. Geno sucks.

he makes some bad decisions but he is much improved from last year and you can see it. so far he had thrown for more yards and completed a higher % of passes this season then tom brady. i think that says a lot right there when you look at the jets #1 receiver decker had to sit out the 2nd half of the game the last 2 weeks

Eh, Jets got a break when they were stopped on 4th down short of the 30 on the last drive. After a touchback it's pretty clear where the ball needs to get to, and I don't think it got there.

Tom Brady isn't that good anymore, and hasn't been for a year or two. But he pouts and yells and pouts so much that he's convinced people that it's everyone's fault but his that he can't complete a pass more than 20 yards down the field anymore. Decker might not be better than any of Brady's WRs anyway, so I don't know why you bring him up in relation to Smith.

why decker was broght up. he missed the 2nd half of the last two games, including tonight. check this out according to espn. i bolded geno's stats when decker is on the field so you can see the difference it makes

Correlation does not imply causation

and stuff

well no i think decker being off the field makes it easier for other teams to defend the jets receivers. chicago was so banged up on defense it made less of an impact when decker left then the previous wekk when he left the packers game.

still though part of the issue is really dumb play calling by the OC and its been like that on the jets for years despite different OC. calling a pass when you should run. calling a long pass when it should have been a short route, etc.

God Geno Smith made some terrible throws in Monday night's game. Sucks to be the Jets and be stuck with a young QB who is somewhat competent, but has several WTF moments per game.

Nobody to root for in tonight's game. Interested to see how Cousins does though. He was amazing in the first half last week, but really regressed in the 2nd half. It will be interesting to see how he performs if the game is close at the end.

whats odd is he is leading the league in completion % of passes over 15 yards or something like that but they rarely call plays that long. the OC position for the jets has been bad for a really long time. i said before geno does too many college things that don't work in the nfl like the pick 6. he tossed to the spot chris johnson should have been for the play he called but never looked to see johnson got bumped in the route and didn't make it there

Is that Aaron Rodgers or Eli Manning?

Really like how creative and direct Ben McAdoo's spread O is.

Still have a whole half of football to go but I like the way the Giants O looks.

To McAdoo and Eli

bout fuckin' time

The team correspondents believe that his injuries destroyed his confidence in his body, which made him play poorly, which destroyed his confidence in his ability, and so on in a circle. Yeah, he is the weakest corner on the field out of the Cowboys lineup, mentally rather than for measurables I guess.
