NFL 2014

Every game Romo was either out hurt (Was/AZ) or played poor (SF/Philly #1) due to injury issues, Dallas has looked abysmal otherwise also, and was essentially blown out in 2 of the 4, even with Murray and that Oline in..

Its probably a flawed argument anyways because both don't have a realistic option as a backup regardless. MVP awards are always silly, at least in football imo

I agree with you tbh. MVP really needs to be restricted to non-QBs. But since the league is the way it is, and the award is the way it is, I think Romo makes a great case this year, particularly given his health issues and the general expectations surrounding the team.

lol Peyton, looks like the Broncos might be fading at just the right time. Sweet justice.

Edit:

Brandt: Romo for MVP
Some extra stats:

On Sunday, he recorded the best passer rating of his career (151.7) as a starter -- and he became the only quarterback in NFL history to post a passer rating of 135 or better six different times in one season.

Folks say December is when awards like this are won and lost -- and Romo has played like gangbusters in the final month of the regular season. In his last three games, Romo is 3-0 with 688 yards, notching league-best numbers in that span in touchdowns (10, against zero picks), passer rating (143.5) and completion percentage (an absurdly high 79.2)

Also from elsewhere:

I wonder if there is a more impressive stat for Romo than being 23rd in pass attempts in the NFL and tied for fifth in touchdown passes. That's the definition of efficient.

Nobody is buying it Dak. It was a valiant effort

Awesome Offerman gif. Everyone irrationally hates on Romo, and that won't change, I get it. On Eli: Yeah, he had a pretty good turn around once Beckham got on the field ;). Dude is a beast.

Anyway, Eli has actually had a pretty good year. Peyton has more INTs hehe

not sure why you are laughing?

eli-29 TDs and 13 INTs

peyton- 39 TDs and 15 INTs

so eli has thrown 2 less INTs and 10 less TDs. looks like peytons TD/INT ratio is still better this year

Cardinals vs Texans. LOL

I've given up on the Cardinals. I thought they could maybe make a run with Stanton, but Lindley just sucks. They'll be lucky to win a single playoff game, even if it's against the NFC South winner. Next year should be good though. I think we could very be the best team in the NFC West next year, we were right up there until all the injuries fucked shit up.

I think Seattle could very well win the NFC again this year. They're the LA Kings of the NFL.

I don't think a Packers game would be easy for Dallas, but I don't think it's a sure loss either. The teams match up well in terms of team stats. GB is giving up .3 pts less per game and scoring two more pts per game, and yardage is like a net 12 per game in GBs favor. Dallas has played very well on the road this year, so not concerned if they had to go to Lambeau.
