NFL 2014

I don't think the Giants reached at all. Beckham is one of the most explosive play makers in the draft. I'm pissed they got him.

The Cowboys pick was fine. Martin is a very versatile and NFL-ready lineman. They've still got 6 rounds to deal with the defense.

I'm fine with the Eagles pick. Smith is a talented pass rusher who can actually cover, which definitely fits a need. We only have one true 3-4 OLB (Barwin) and while Cole did well last season, he's aging and not very versatile.

I hate the Bills trade. They are not a good enough team to spend two 1sts on a WR.

Browns will continue to suck now that they drafted Manziel. Dude has bust written all over him. Most of the things that made him great in college don't translate to the NFL.

Don't like the Jags pick. They should have taken Mack or Watkins instead of reaching for a QB.

Can't wait to watch Watts and Clowney play together.

On another note, the RG3 trade is over. In exchange for the rights to RG3, the Rams gained Michael Brockers, Janoris Jenkins, Isaiah Pead, Rokevious Watson, Alec Ogletree, Stedman Bailey, Zac Stacy and Greg Robinson. I see at least 4 starters/potential starters in there, a few of which have All-Pro potential.

We won't know for sure for a few more years, but it looks like the Racists might have made one of the worst trades in NFL history (what a surprise).

And I really hope the Cowboys draft Manziel. Beyond being a massive waste in money that kid is gonna bust.

It was certainly a fear of mine.

Giants reached a bit but I like the pick. Beckham looks explosive with great hands.

Cowboys made the smart pick.

Eagles made a "huh?" pick

smart pick? cowboys need some help on defense

Dallas also needed depth on the offensive line. Martin can potentially play any position, and will probably start at left guard. Don't forget Dallas lost most of it's defensive starters to injury last season, and between getting them back and signing Melton + bodies for the dline, they aren't as hard pressed for defense as it might appear. I do expect however, to see defense + a WR drafted in the remaining rounds.

Bills trade definitely seems dumb..doubting EJ's ability to throw the ball well. Vikings got a steal with Bridgewater, who is starting up there? Cassel? Ponder? I bet Teddy takes over this season, huge fan of his

RG3 trade?

Btw looks like the bills are trading stevie johnson to the 49ers for a 4th round pick next year. Unless its a money issue why didn't the jets jump on this because they have 4 picks in the 4th round this year

I think the best value picks in the 1st round were Zack Martin to the Boys, C.J Mosley to the Ravens is phenomenal and Bridgewater to the Vikings is a steal.

As far as reaches go I'd say Shazier to the Steelers, Marcus Smith to the Eagles and Bradley Roby to the Broncos.

RG3 trade?

Yes, I was referring to the RG3 trade. They gave up the #6 overall pick, the #2 overall pick, plus a mid-1st and high-2nd for RG3. Anything short of RG3 turning into a perennial all-pro player and the trade is a bust.

Another great draft move by Dallas (as well as can be graded without a down being played). Blue chipper for both lines.

I like the player, but they overpaid in the trade.

J'Wuan Williams was the biggest reach of the 1st round. Roby wasn't a reach at all. Bit of a boom-bust prospect, but not a reach.

49ers had a great day 2, including somehow moving down one spot and getting a 2015 4th in the process. It's insane the way they work the draft.

Best value pick of the draft is Marquise Lee to the Jags in the 2nd.

I agree with Williams being a huge reach also.

And to me with guys like Ra'Shede Hageman on the board, Roby was a reach.

Yea, also Carlos Hyde at 57, Kony Ealy to the Carolina Panthers @ 60 and Louis Nix to the Houston Texans @ 83

You mean a special teams player and back up safety.

Hope the Giants pick up the Undrafted Free Agent OLB Christian Jones from Florida State. He's raw but has all the talent needed to develop for a couple of years. Could be an outstanding special teams player for those years too.

Fortunately *knock on wood* it would be pretty difficult to be worse than last year, and Lee has already missed pretty much half the games in his career or something, so Dallas has played without him. But I was hoping they wouldn't have to. He is usually the best starting defensive player out of the 22 in a game in any given contest......but it doesn't matter if he is hurt.
