NFL week 1

Well week one and my Chargers won, a very hard 1st half but took advantage of the turnovers, let's see what happens sunday night vs the Patriots

Steelers - 34
Sucky Browns - 7

Deadskins - 16
Dead Fish - 13 (Dolphins)

And for my favorite college team:

Penn State - 34
Whipped Irish - 10 (Notre Dame)

So a good weekend was had by all of the teams I care about. :)

I HATE the packers, and I live in WI!
Bears lost, what was it 14-3 against the chargers?
"Wrex" Grossman continues to look like shit, IMO.....

Yah. But even last year he put up a number of touchdowns (of course with interceptions).

The Bears D did a good job though. We'll see. I still have hopes for Rex, but if after 4 games he hasn't put any thing together, I'd say put in Griese.

So far soo good....

Dallas 45
NY Giants 35

We need to tighten up that D big time though. And Jason Ferguson is out for the year now to put even more pressure on the defensive line.

College teams fare well too....

West Virginia 48
Marshall 23

And Notre Dame lost too! :headbang:

How about a friendly wager? Pats win, (1) beer on you. Chargers win, (1) beer on me (and I am not talking about a pitcher = 1 beer.... I know how you roll Flavio). :)

So 1 beer doesn't equal a pitcher???? heheheeee
We are on Rich!!! bet is due on thursday night at the pre-party :kickass:

Bucs lost, but I didn't expect any different. Just as well, maybe Gruden will finally get the axe this year. He's worn out his welcome with me.

On a much brighter note, USF Bulls beat Auburn in OT.:headbang:

Well, two years ago, living in Minneapolis at the time, I did the impossible to see the Pack in Lambeau in their last home game, only to see the Bears win. :yell:

At least you lost to Seattle...the Falcons were dominated by the Vikings! After you guys run Gruden out of town, would you like us to send Rich McKay back home?

It will be interesting to see which of our respective teams scores a touchdown first (and which week it finally happens).

After seeing Georgia choke against Spurrier, the Falcons debacle actually had me looking forward to Monday...I just wanted the weekend to end

At this point, I'm just waiting on the puck to drop...unfortunately, opening night for hockey is on Friday during ProgPower (and the Thrashers play the Lightning on Saturday during ProgPower). I don't know if you're a hockey fan, but there's a good article on NHL.com about the Lightning:

Looks like the division is all yours, and we'll be fighting for that 8th playoff spot

That was AWESOME; we got home from the Halcyon Way Saturday Night Smackdown in time for me to catch most of the 4th and OT...it was beautiful
