now reading/watching thread

Just finished up my Netflix queue. Need to add more movies or they'll start shipping me random bullshit.

Severance: this is possibly the finest comedy-horror movie ever made. I laughed loudly at the funnay, I cringed at the gore. I think I am in love with Laura Harris.

Mysterious Skin: This is the best movie I never want to see again. Joseph Gordon-Levitt gives another amazing performance, and as a bonus the film has a sluttied-up Michelle Trachtenberg, but the graphic depictions and descriptions of childhood sexual abuse make this a difficult watch.

Now reading the Otherland series by Tad Williams. Several decades into the future, online activity is done with a virtual reality interface and a young South African woman's younger brother is put into a coma while VR net-surfing where he shouldn't be. She and her Kalahari Bushman friend are trying to find out who/what is responsible (a group of mega-powerful rich bastards calling themselves The Grail Brotherhood).

Each book is a nice thick 700-1000 pages and I'm about 2/3 of the way through the first one of the 4 book series.

Steve Martin seems a bit sleezy to me. Kinda like a Frenchman....

Anyway, I'm reading Catch-22 for school, 'Memo To The President Elect' by Madeline Albright, the latest edition of the economist for myself, and a Dreamweaver CS3 indepth tutorial. I have shit on my plate right now, tastes good though!
