now reading/watching thread

I'm watching Hook. I don't care that people don't like this movie, I think it's great.

It's not a bad movie for being terribly written, directed and very much false in every respect. William was an upper class terrorist, but there we go.

Awesome movie, though.

Now reading The Collection, by Bentley Little and I just finished a collection of zombie stories called Still Dead: Book of the Dead 2.

This is ridiculous, but I just finished watching City of the Living Dead and Land of the Dead before that. I also spent some time working on a zombie story I started a long time ago but never finished.

Zombies rule my life right now. :zombie:

Little's stuff is pretty interesting. It's definitely more dark and twisted than your typical Stephen King stuff, but I do like King's short stories. Some of Little's stories are really creepy and some and just sick. You'd probably dig it! There's a really interesting (and slightly cheesy) one that revolves around the discovery that George Washington was a cannibal who ate children. :zombie:

Thank you for the compliment! I'm guessing you're into the same, which is awesome. You don't meet a lot of chicks like that. :)

yeah, we really are a rare breed

beyond the typical stephen king stuff, some of my favorite authors are edward lee and richard laymon, who are pretty sick in their own rights. i also love clive barker, poppy z brite, richard matheson ... those are really the only names i'm "loyal" to, but i always pick up anthologies and look for good stories.

i write horror fiction, though not as much as i used to. do you have any of your stuff posted online?

I really haven't read much of Clive Barker or Poppy Z Brite's work, but it's on my list of authors to check out after I finish the 8 million horror paperbacks I just got. :heh:

Yeah, I have a section of the zombie story online here:

After looking it over, I realize part of it's jacked, so I need to go back and fix it. I'll probably do that tonight since I feel like putting other shit off right now.
