It has a few parts remeniscent of nu metal but to me it's more like The Melvins or Unsane, mostly when the vocals come in. Maybe try doing some croaky johnathon davis talking in there somewhere. heh. Or do the monkey sound like Dave Draiman does. Ooooh wa ah ah ah! Maybe cover some nursery rhymes 
Sing about your abusive parents/bullies at school/ex-girlfriends/math homework. Lots of chorus on the guitars, especially during verses. Go high up on the fretboard, and really low, but NEVER in between and tune the snare up like a piccolo snare.
