The Falcons have no 1st Round picks, but that doesn't mean I won't be watching the first hour to see the top 5 picks!!!! Also I will have the NFL Network on the radio in the background as I do my daily actvities throughout the day. Here's a couple of things to discuss:
Do you think Reggie Bush's stock has dropped at all?
Who do you think will take Vince Young? He's the QB that I like of this year.
He's mobile, fast, but needs to develop the passing game some...
Will the Saints get another QB considering the snagged Drew Breeze from the Chargers?!
And Finally the state of your team?
The Falcons need to pick up some recievers, that is their weak points, also look into some O-Line players also RB or two....

I think Indy will have a shot at him, in the 1st rd., if they want him. I would not be surprised to see him fall into the 2nd.

As for Vince Young, don't like him. I think the Texans, if they hold onto the first overall pick, will take him. That would be a big mistake, imo.

Leinart, imo, will be a good QB, but not a great one.

The QB I like best of the bunch is Jay Cutler, Vanderbilt. I just think this guy has some qualities you can't teach...heart, toughness, competiveness. This guy made a horrible Vandy team look respectable most games.

Reggie Bush should be the top pick. Clearly the best player in the draft, for my money.

As for my team, the Bucs, I have heard three names mentioned as the players to watch.
Santonio Holmes - WR Ohio State
Ernie Sims - OLB FSU
Antonio Cromartie - CB FSU
Any of those three would be fine with me. I would prefer Holmes because, after last year, Michael Clayton is a big question mark. Will he return from some injuries to his rookie year performance? Holmes would make a great compliment to Galloway, is a burner with great hands...also can return kicks. I don't think he will last until the Bucs pick, though.

I feel the same way. The Steelers need a compliment to "fast" Willie Parker." I doubt WHite will make it that far though.

How geeked do you guys think Ronnie Brown is about Ricky Williams ruining his career?! At this point Ronnie will be the featured back unless something tragic happens or if the Dolphins pick up a great back in the draft or sign an undrafted player....

Reggie is overrated, I think he'll have trouble adapting to the NFL. He can take hits from kids, but can he take a hit from an NFL Linebacker?
Still, he could very well develop into a great player.
You might not "like" Vince Young, but I prediect he'll become an excellent QB.
Leinart could be the second coming of Ryan Leaf...
I like Cutler over Matt....
The big question is will the NY Jets fans "Boo" as they usually do when they get the 1st pick of the draft?!

The Texans have already signed Mario Williams. It looks like there's a deal working for Green Bay to trade Jevon Walker and their #5 to the Saints for the Saints' #2. The Pack may get Bush.

White has been rumored to be going to the Broncs at #15. He's a hometown kid and that's where most of the rumor has come from, I think. I hope they don't take him.

Vince Young will not make it in the NFL. His mechanics are so goofed that he won't be able to chuck the rock worth a damn. If he can't get the ball to his receivers then he's just another running back.

I don't care who my Broncs pick up so long as they get a first rate pass rusher and a wide receiver. The dream pick would be Vernon Davis.

The reason I don't like Vince Young has nothing to do with him personally, but has everything to do with him as a player. Wheezer hit on some of it with his throwing motion, and mechanics, but the biggest ? in my mind is his head for the game. I don't think he can read a defense worth a damn and doesn't recognise coverages, or make the proper decisions on receivers. I don't 'like' him as a player...nothing more.

Wheezer, the Broncs surprised me with the Cutler move. I like him the best of all the QBs, but didn't think they would take one, Had there been any talk of drafting a QB in Denver, at all?

The Falcons need a stud LB or defensive end. I have never been real big on Vick, but the guy didn't play bad football last year. The Atlanta defense didn't live up to the play of 2004. Atlanta definitely needs better play from their receivers, but they are all young guys. I really think a stud pass-rusher would help Atlanta out most.

Looks like the Saints got Bush. They could be explosive next year if their O-line can hold things together. New Orleans is also young on defense. Their defense stank last year, but they have some big named guys that just haven't matured yet. They could be a sleeper. Then again..... they are The Saints.

Since The Steelers lost their number two wideout, Antwaan Randle El, it is no surprise they picked up a receiver in the first round. I mostly watch SEC football (as far as college) so I am not very familiar with Santonio Holmes, but there is good talk of him. They need speed at wideout and he runs a 4.5. That's not too shabby at all. Cedrick Wilson will probably start at number 2 wideout though. Despite being a fifth year veteran, he only played one year for The Steelers and still has plenty of upside. Small college standout second year receiver, Nate Washington will see some playing time as well. I think The Steelers will be in good shape at receiver. In round two maybe they get a bruiser running back ? They can get a bruiser in later rounds though. Who knows.

Yeah, they surprised the hell out of me too. I was not happy but I'll be fine with a first round QB though since it is Cutler. He's got the intangibles that I like in a QB.

Funny enough, one of the local beat writers predicted they would draft Cutler. I thought he was full of it. It looks like we somehow managed to trade for Jevon Walker too. Don't ask me.

Ugh, the Falcons got Backers, Remember Keith Brooking? He's like the second coming of Jesse Tuggle. The snagged a DE from the Jets. Now Vick didn't play bad considering they only won about half of their games....
I expect bigger and better this season. I think the Panthers will be on the decline, I think a real surprise in the NFC South might be... the team foemrly known as the "Ain'ts." I'm interested in what they can do with Drew Breeze and now Reggie Bush...

The Falcons also have Rod Coleman. He might be the second best pass rushing interior defensive lineman. He had many sacks, like nine or ten I think, but they went through some droughts of not being able to get pressure on the QB and were picked apart. When The Falcons lost, they ended up giving up an average of about 31 points or so. They have a ball-control offense and don't generally generate those type of points.

The Saints need an O-line. I think we will see a lot of Reggie and Drew prone in the offensive backfield.

Man Wheez..Take your hat off to Mike Shanahan and the Broncos war room...
They were DEFINETLY a power player yesterday!! Picking up Cutler The heir apparent to the snake.Tony Scheffler from W.M. is a quality TE. But getting Walker for what basically was nothing figures to be a steal and is going to be remembered late in the season when they're in the AFC Championship Game!!

The Pats did O.K. I prefered Deangelo Williams to Maroney..But I guess there's a reason that Belicheck is the best coach in the league and I guess I'll just have to trust his judgement..I'm very happy getting Chad Jackson for Brady to throw the ball to...Now I'm just hoping for some defense today..

But in my opinion I think the team who made out best yesterday had to be the 49ers....They got two guys who can start immediatley..Vernon Davis is the 2nd coming of Gates & Gonzalez only better!! Watch and see!! And Manny Lawson is the main reason that Mario Williams was so good and overall #1 pick...It was said that N.E. was torn between Maroney and Lawson. I would've loved for Belicheck to have grabbed him at #21!!!

As far as teams that had a bad day...I think Green Bay really screwed up!! I
mean Bubba Franks hasn't played a complete season in two years and when there's a TE like Davis on the board who would've helped Favre's game dramatically(especialy since they knew he was going to lose his #1 receiver)
there was no cause to take Hawk (Who I think is great and is probably going to be defensive rookie of the year!!! This is not a knock on him!!)

And Indy.. Passing on Lendale White was brain dead!! Plain and simple!!

Buffalo had more pressing needs to then to be reaching for a Safety (Key word REACHING.) Alot of people had Whitner slipping into the 2nd round surely not going 8th overall

Watched all 8 hours yesterday. And it's 10:58A est and I'm turning it on right now...I hope everyone is happy with their teams moves..And for fans of Indy, G.B. & Buffalo...Those were just my opinions nothing more...

One more thing..I don't see any problem with the Texans taking Williams over Bush!! They addressed the need of their team..I think Michael Irvin should cut back on the crack pipe and shut his flap!! There were ALOT of things in place for him to succeed in Dallas!! Not to mention he was far from the most talented member of that team whether he chooses to admit that or not!!

How many years does Plummer have left on his contract? Everyone knew Javon Walker wasn't ever going to play another down for the Pack, but kudos to the Broncos for making that trade...good one.

The Titans are all but GUARANTEED to give the Colts problems next year!!
And there's no doubt that Bill Polian knows the draft..But Lendale White is a better RB than Addai and he's going to get to know that very quickly after playing him two times next year....Also as crazy as this is going to sound, don't count the Texans as two automatic wins next year either...If you take all the drama away from the 1st pick and just look at what they've got they've made some pretty good pick ups (Demeco Ryans is going to be a monster!!)

Looking at what's going on today...I still have to say that the 49ers are having an awesome draft!! They picked up Marcus Hudson Safety out of N.C.State in the 6th round and the kid is an absolute monster!! He plays like Ronnie Lott!! I'm not predicting a Super Bowl run for either the Texans or The 49ers hell not even a division title..But they got some quality players who if they pan out and can start right away should be able to help them improve on last years win totals.

As far as my Pats goes...Who the hell knows!! I watch and read quite a bit on college football and they're drafting guys I've never even heard of today..
Again, I guess I'll just have to trust coach Belicheck (Or move on over to my 2nd favorite AFC Team, The Broncos!!) Just kidding I'll never sell out The Pats!!

Also The Broncos strike again..Elvis Dumervil in the 4th round..Dude is SICK!!!!
They just got there replacement for Trevor Pryce..Monster pickup!!!

I thought we did fine with our pick believe you me Mr. Polian knows how to
pick em. Damn it looks the Titans might give us a run for the money next
year fuck!!!

Seattle and Miami might have each got a sleeper in Ben Obomanu and Devin Aromashodu respectively in the seventh round. So many receivers are drafted that you don't expect most to make it, certainly not seventh rounders, but it wouldn't surprise me to see one or both playing on Sunday in a few years. Both of these receivers came from Auburn University and they were so loaded at wide-out, no one really could stand out.

Your guys made out pretty well..I'm not too crazy about Santonio Holmes (Just me) but Cedric Humes was a decent RB for V.T.!! And Orien Harris played with Vince Wilfork (Pats) a few years ago at Miami and made him look awful good by drawing attention away from Wilfork...Should make for an interesting season.

 I hope you're right with that last bit. It's interesting. I don't think they drafted like a team that was one game away from the SB. I'm not overly thrilled with the two WR pickups after they already had Walker in the fold. Seems like a little too much depth. We'll see how it pans out.

The Fan Fair just got announced. It's the first weekend in June -- 3rd and 4th.

The Pats are going to be fine no matter what. I wouldn't worry too much if I was you. There's always the second round of free agency to plug a few holes too.

Plummer's got 5 years left on an extension/sal cap reduction deal they just did. I see Cutler as the starter in two years. A #1 doesn't sit the bench for any longer than that. The deal they gave Jake shouldn't impact the cap too much by then. It'll be interesting to see the length of contract they get Cutler on.

As far as Walker is concerned, I hope his knee holds up. He's fairly cheap this year. It looks like your Bucs are interested in Lelie. Hopefully a change of scenery will fix his attitude. He's got monster talent. I just don't think he fits real well in Denver.
