I dunno, when I rep people I get the option of approving or dissapproving of their post. I always hit approve unless they make an ignorant comment towards me.

but why I get for example 1 point from one person...and for example 10 points from another person? why is that difference?

We spoke about this on a previous page. There's some sort of formula that takes your post count and how long you've been a member of the board into account. So if someone with a post count of 3 who's been a member since yesterday repped you, you might not get any points, while someone with 7000 posts and a member for two years, you might get 11 points.
