Oh Dear...

ok let me lay it out...

some metalcore is good, some sucks.
some deathcore is good, some sucks.
some brutal death metal is good, some sucks.

Hatebreed and Chimaira do not suck, they are okay.. but they should be opening for Dying Fetus, not vice versa. they are not deathcore though.

Dying Fetus rules.

What are you talking about? Kids who listen to Deathcore...probably don't know what real hardcore is.

Most propably (definately not all of them though). But they know what Hatebreed is. Not that it matters, Hatebreed just doesn't go well with the "real hardcore" term. Hopefully we can agree on that.

To elaborate on the other thing I said, I can't stand deathcore because it seems to somewhat take the worse side (or the less significant, i.e. making the genre good) of both death metal and hardcore and put those together. Which is harsh vocals and pretended brutality on the dm side and just a less intelligent attitude on the other one (don't get this wrong, it's hard to explain).

This synthetically creates a new "genre" based on nothing with faggotry output.

Korn fucking sucks faggot cock. and just throwing this in, so does TBDM.

I can see how anyone hates Korn because of their style, but I have to defend them here. Look, they've captured hip-hop/rock and other different rythms and added guitars which actually works quite well in the end. Some of their songs have a great drugged-like psychedelic atmosphere and are somewhat desperate and dark. I can see how this is not for everyone and I don't listen to them myself, but they're an alright band, atleast in the nu-metal faggot circles.

If I'm wrong...Hasn't Hatebreed been around longer than Dying Fetus?

That's not relevant, I wasn't comparing those two bands. I'm just saying that Hatebreed isn't even a pure hardcore (and is a shitty band btw, but nvm), so it's kinda silly to say "deathcore kids don't even know about real hardcore" when talking about Hatebreed.

Hardcore term for me is (and should be for everyone) a definition of the 80's scenes in Boston/NY. Hatebreed can fucking suck my cock.

Yes, you're wrong

Hatebreed formed 1994 (First studio album 97)
Dying Fetus formed 1991 (First studio album 95)

and even if it were true, it is completely irrelevant because the musicianship of Dying Fetus far surpasses that of Hatebreed...

^:ill: whoever organizes these shit should be fed their own nuts. they know nothing about the heirarchy of band seniority/credibility/greatness.. it's fuckin disrespectful.

People like Bring Me the Horizon for Satan's sake.

Is it really that hard to believe someone would like Dying Fetus?

I am SO over hearing people bitch about any sort of core band playing along side more well known and older bands.

I personally think it's great that they can all come together and tour. If there is a band I don't like playing, then oh fucking well I sit through it and wait for the ones I did come to see and it makes it all worth it. How has this EVER been different at any other show?

It's not like there is some point system you have to earn before you can play along side Dying Fetus or Suffocation. This is their time to convince close minded assholes to give them a listen. At least give them some respect for that.

Stop bitching.

ive no problem with -core bands katierose. it's just that the greater and more influential bands should headline. ur hot when ur assertive btw.

I disagree, because this is my money and my time that we are talking about...

I'm not about to shell out big bucks to have to purposely wait and be agonized by shitty -core bands for a handful of hours to see DF play a glorious set for less than an hour!

You mentioned "how is this different than any other show", I'd have to say it's pretty rare to get such a mix of genres in a show. I doubt any Hatebreed fans will want to hear brutal death metal, just as no DF fans will want to hear any metalcore...it's a mess of a promotion! Putting Dying Fetus with Hatebreed is like putting fresh lettuce next to the pesticides in a local supermarket!

Also, as previously mentioned, I bitch about it because I think it's fundamentally wrong that a band like Hatebreed gets to headline while a vastly more talented band like Dying Fetus only gets to open. (Obviously this has nothing to do with talent, but with money...OUR MONEY btw) And complaining about things that are wrong is always the right thing to do..just look at Martin Luther King!

All three bands share the same audience.

Hardcore fans like bands like suffocation and dying fetus and it makes sense all three bands are touring. It's pretty obvious that Dying Fetus especially were influenced by late 80's and early 90's core bands, not hatebreed directly being they're new, but bands like agnostic front,cro-mags,madball,crumbsuckers,etc... Suffocation,Dying Fetus, and Suffocation all obviously listen to hardcore music and it is fundamentally a big part of both bands.

Slam dancers and hardcore fans are the people that go to these shows and make up majority of the people at them.
