Hard to forget Cynic and Psycroptic, both great and influential Tech DM bands.

It would be hard to pick a big four for all those sub genres because a lot of the bands played during different "eras" from each other.

... but as far as tech-death goes, there is no doubt the old big four would be ...

and although im not a fan of theirs, it would be impossible to make a big four list of tech death without Necrophagist.
