Oh Dear...

The strategy gR mentioned works, by the way. Dying Fetus was on another deathcore tour last year and they subsequently garnered at least 20 deathcore kids at my school as fans.

V5 has suggested that the deathcore scene in my town may have slightly above average taste. Though they still deny being fans of the genre.

I saw this tour in Santa Cruz and it was fucking awesome. Dying fetus were great live despite some sound problems but no one puts on a show like Hatebreed. If you actually went out and saw them you'd see that they're extremely genuine and have more energy than almost any band I've seen. Also all the fans mixed well together, there wasn't any faggy hardcore dancing, the only band that had some seriously lame fans was Winds Of Plague and they really don't deserve to be on the tour. They didn't have nearly as large of a crowd reaction but they were really high up on the bill. Century Media probably just paid a bunch of money to get them on there, seriously a horrible investment since that band sucks.

Yeah I saw Hatebreed before they blew up and got kind of lame...They were sick. I still have a soft spot for that first album they put out, never listen to it but its got some breakdowns that kick serious ass.

I just realised the order of playing for the Arch Enemy/Suffocation Australian tour is Winds of Plague, then Suffocation then Arch Enemy. I'll probably rock up enough time to oggle at the girl from Winds of Plague, watch Suffocation then leave straight after.

I have to say I don't like -core nor do I care for it. I still think the load of people who do listen to it are listening to rubbish (personal opinion) but nothing against them personally. It's all just a marketing ploy organizing gigs like that to get more fans and more money without a doubt. Though, it doesn't mean I won't rage if I see ninjakicking during Suffocation.

As for Dying Fetus, I'm not a huge fan but they were fucking awesome live even when they only had 1 guitarist when they came to Australia.

of course it's possible that deathcore fans could legitimately like brutal death metal as well.

It's simple, there are some good, talented bands from every genre of music. You can't just rule out a whole entire genre because "most" of the bands are shitty (which I agree most death/metalcore bands are shitty), but there are some talented bands out there. Although that being said. Hatebreed can suck dick and prepare to bow down once Dying Fetus blows them out of the water anyway. Once these -core kids realise what real metal is (thats where Dying Fetus come in) they will then realise which bands are shitty and which are not and then begin the journey of real metal. They might not cancel out all the shitty core bands but its a fucking start.

Hahaha I like Black Dahlia Murder So I like deathcore? First off I don't like deathcore I think it's pretty much the worst genre of Metal/Hardcore. And Black Dahlia Murder play a blend of Melodic Gothenburg Death Metal Stupid.

I like real Death Metal, quit trying to figure out a person's musical taste based on one band. I'm really about to jump ship..This site is filled with a bunch of Dicks...75% of you are just out here to prove while your musical taste is better.

You get used to it after awhile. The site might be full of morons, but it's possibly alot better than most other sites to get recommendations based on your taste in music i.e metal-archives.
