I'd be more surprised if anyone here DIDN'T like his voice,

as this is the Tad Morose board.

Hmmm...... haven't heard it. I will look into it though. Urban certainly has a great voice. I don't love Urban though. He has three things going against him in that department. He is male, beyond his 20's and caucasian >:p~

Sorry, we seem to get off-topic a little here from time to time. Nice list.... well except for the POS as they aren't my thing.

seeing Fangface list I'm lost for words... have tried to find time to put a list up like his but think I have to pass... ;)

Think I just add names for a start and these are the singers that comes first on mind when talking about fave vocalists:

Andread Hedlund
Bruce Dickinson
Charles Rytkönen
David Readman
Dirk Thurisch
Urban Breed
Zak Stevens

Ha ha ha yeah Fang is an amazing guy when we make him be. He is a Frenchman and thinks his English is bad, but I couldn't make a list that impressive and my ONLY language is English.

Great list you have there. Dirk and David are also great vocalists in my ears. When I think of "metal" Dirk is a guy that pops into my head. He seems to live and breathe metal. I wouldn't be surprised if he had no other hobbies.

Dirk may like different things, if you heard his Mercury Tide (solo) album ;)
Anyway he's Metal to the bone when you see him on stage.

And thanks for your words, as always.

I sure as hell don't have any other hobbies. My drummer is always telling me to go ride bikes with him or something. Music is my only hobbie :headbang:

Football dude !!!! I was an oddball in school as I was the only jock/metal-head, but American football is the only thing that is as complex and aggressive as metal music. I wore my 86 Hines Ward Steeler jersey to the prog power pre-party last year. I almost get depressed when the season is over. :erk: Try some college and pro games out this fall.

I have never heard Mercury Tide, but frankly I am surprised. I partied with him at PPII as well as seen him on stage. His personality just screams metal, but maybe he was exploring different things.....

Okay are you all ready for myyyy favorite vocalists?

All right then...

Urban Breed, Geoff Tate, Jon Oliva, Midnight, Jutta Weinhold, Darell from Twisted Motivations, Stefan Berglund, Messiah Marcolin, Ronnie James Dio, Vinnie Cavanaugh, Z.P. Theart, Jon Arch, Ray Alder, King Diamond, Eric Bloom, Hansi Kursch and Devon Graves
Pretty nice list.... no Mike Howe though ? I actually thought you were a fan by a couple of your posts. Ha ha ha. Great choice on Bloom. As a band, I think BOC gets their share of accolades, and "Buck" gets his as a guitarist, but Eric gets overlooked and I think he is a fantastic vocalist.

It's that time again... yes thats right, that time when Winter's curiosity grows to the point where it's completely out of control... and she orders Therion...

The last album of thiers I ordered was from thier early career "Of Darkness" I think it's called... I'd have to dig it up but this was before they stepped onto their current musical path. It was promising musically, so I am interested to hear how they are.

I've had plenty of chances but no, I'm sorry. I will though, and as soon as I have I'll tell you what I think.

They dropped off the growls and the death metal riffs a few years later, becoming a much more orchestral act. I consider "Lepaca Kliffoth" as the start of their 2nd career.
Get "Theli" if you can, this one is a classic of the 90's IMO :)

Ahh, orchestral's good... I'll have to check them out when I get my paycheck today! It will be a few weeks before the cd gets to me, mind you, as I'm using mail-order but Therion definately sounds like my cup of tea.
