Reading my quote back it looks like I mean just the Americans who have posted in this thread, when I actually mean on a much broader scale. It's something I've noticed over the years, not just today! Sorry if that confused anyone.

Good Day, all.

I'm resurrecting this thread in an effort to get some more people responding to the little poll involved - post your responses here, then I'll take them from this source, rather than messing with email (I don't think a lot of people did, anyway). I'm not sure what happened to the other gentleman who volunteered to perform this function (although he sounded busy), so I'll take over.

I've begun a spreadsheet with the results, although I have only the 20 responses in this here thread on which to begin drawing stats, so I'd like some more first. If you haven't written any response HERE in THIS THREAD yet, please do, if you're at all interested in contributing to this little project - it would be much appreciated.

Once things slow down in this thread again, I'll attempt to compile some results... should be interesting.

I first heard Opeth on the Blackened 2 comp. the song Nectar, id say around late 97 early 98 and they actually became one of my favorite bands immediatly after only hearing one song.
