My friend says he saw a car in RI yesterday with an "Opeth" license plate. So fess up--who is it? Must be somebody who at least lurks around here. Will the troo fanboy please stand up?

There's an "OPETH" license plate in Maryland too. I saw it years ago at the now-closed club Phantasmagoria.
germany's license plates are totally annoying. the first 1-3 (in the above example the M) are fixed depending on where you live, the other 2 letters and the number (up to 4) are chooseable. if you're lucky you get some decent front letters so you can make up a word with the other two, but that's it. i hate it. and there's no city in germany with the letters "ope", sadly

in Canada (well, Ontario anyway), I think the highest price for a fully custom license plate is about $200 - and can fit up to 8 letters - if that word is not already taken by someone else.
