Hey, Godhead's Lament, did you find a backing track for that or did you do it yourself?

It's the music from the Guitar Pro Tab. I just muted the guitars. and recorded the guitar myself

one of my friends recorded the music in this (he posted the song in full here about a year ago).

i only did like 3 or so min of it. but this was a very long time ago(about a year, heh). I am a far better vocalist now i beleive. but just posting it, just to post. I would love to re-record it, or do any other song by opeth (perferably songs with singing) but i need to work on getting a working microphone again. heh. thanks for maybe listening.

edit: im also not sure why i changed some of the vocal melody around. ah well.

edit again: the songs deliverance.. i forgot to mention that

That's awesome.

Please tell me how you got the quality of the distortion recorded so great. Did you record at home? What did you use to record?

well thanks for listening. It was recorded a year ago. I had to drench my vocals in effects to make them sound decent. I have become a far better singer now, then i was then.

Recorded this around this time last year. http://www.acidplanet.com/artist.asp?PID=655527&t=6440
For this I just used the drums on the guitar pro tab.

I have a much better drum program now and can just program drums straight from the songs I cover. This Woods of Ypres cover is an example of the drum sound I can get. http://www.acidplanet.com/artist.asp?PID=699548&t=6440

I'll be able to do basically any Opeth song. Any suggestions?

Awesome cover Aelinos... where in Canada are you ?

Finally some heavy songs coming in!! I was worried we'd end up all doing the mellow songs,, good work!!

Wow. Please, please do another cover.

We seriously need someone with drums though, too much Guitar Pro going on in that department so far

Working on it today! Should be recording the song onto the PC, then vocals sometime this week, then hopefully it'll be mixed by Sunday/Monday to hear. Band practice is on Saturdays, and thats when we'd usually record stuff like this, so we're trying to get it done around other people's time schedules which is annoying, but I'll try and get it on here by Monday at the latest!

gz man, that cover by Aelinos is awesome, I'm sure if the guys in Opeth were to hear it, they would love it. Good job!!

I started working on my Leper Affinity Cover, its coming out pretty good, i hope ot finish it soon. I'll still need a vocalist though...

finally got a chance to record GoP.

Ghost Of Perdition

There's no vocals yet. If someone wants to attempt, feel free.

I know the quality is not the best, but I can't figure out why the distortion doesn't sounds as well as it should.

If you guys actually go through with the idea, I will try to re-record it with better quality and with less errors :)

It sounds horrible + out of tune. Sorry man.
