Opeth while driving

Just wondering what is the reaction of other drivers beside you when you have Opeth at a high volume level?

I don't know about you guys but I just love blasting Opeth while some 16 year old is next to me at red light with that rap.Its just great it drowns them each and every time.

something ive wanted to do for awhile now. need to learn how to drive now. anyway does anyone walk around with a ghetto blaster, with Opeth playing, thats gotta be the next best thing.

I was out driving late a night this summer with my brother (we were going to get mom and dad at Sturup´s airport) and listening to Still Life. It was an wonderful experience. Opeth´s music is so... so nocturnal!

I love listening to Opeth in the car. I always feel the need to sing and growl along. So anyone noticing me will see I love Opeth.
Oh, and blasting Vintersorg through the Hood at full volume draws quite the attention. Confusion and dismay on the faces of all i pass.

Well today I had Behold the Throne of Chaos (how metal is that title?) by Vital Remains cranking while driving today and all the dumb sorority/frat assholes were giving me looks, but I was in a pissed mood, so loud music is somewhat cathartic when I'm in a bad mood...Anyways, I like listening to Opeth at night...I have sleep disorders, so I'm awake alot at night, and often I just go driving...put on Opeth and just cruise at 2 AM

It's the same with me; I can't drive! >P
Which is a shame really, because I love
sitting in a car and watch things passing by.
I could drive forever. There's nothing like
driving and listening to music!!
But since I can't drive myself I have to depend
on others driving for me, and people I know

am i the only one that thinks it's rude to blast anything at levels at which it interferes with other people? i hate it when rap fans do it, so why should i stoop to their level? oh well.

i've had morningrise in my car for a while now, and i've only recently discovered how much i LOVE the night and the silent water. there are like 3 distinct parts that give me goosebumps, THREE!

I wouldn't know. I love blaring music in cars, and I love taking road trips. However, I don't have my license or a car so I haven't ever listened to Opeth in the car. I should put some cds in my brother's cd changer so that I can have something to listen to whenever we go places.

I can picture myself driving around blasting Opeth with the windows down while others are playing rap. Ahhhh, that's great.

Does everyone around you listen to rap? Here in San Diego (I'm in college here) all the college party boys are always playing party rock like ska and punk (not REAL punk, but Blink 182 type stuff...they think Limp Bizkit is heavy around here....

I would really enjoy listening to Opeth while driving, and the day is nearing when I will finally get my full license.

One thing I LOVE about Opeth, and similar bands is that it's so different where I live. I can almost garuntee you that I am the only person who listens to this stuff where I live.

Yesterday I was in the car with my eldest brother and a friend. I started blasting In Flames "Goliaths Disarm Their Davids" and started head banging. They looked at me as if I were posessed, being that they listen to rap, mainstream nu-metal, and Britney Spears pop crap.

The drivers in the other car gave me wierd looks too... it was great!

I know about that... I commute to school. Always got an Opeth tape in the car (lousy Nissan... no CD player). really makes the trip go by faster.

ah yes that is something i should be doing too. Getting my license. I've been 16 for awhile shall be 17 in january. I have just been to lazy to practice. But i definently will blast opeth when i get my license. Hell i already do it now when im driving with my dad i pop in the opeth and blast it he doesnt care.
