There is some very good stuff in the song indeed!

At 1:35, I was surprised to hear how great the acoustic guitar sounded. Very simil;ar in style to what can be heard in Still Life - hell yes!

Too bad, overall, the song to me didn't seem like it had any structure. Heck, I mean at least the songs on Morningrise and Orchid flowed well from one part to the next. Here, it REALLY does feel like there are 4-5 songs just placed together.

I agree that there are some boring parts. But even still, the song is definitely a good one. It's obvious they are a talented bunch.

Interesting to see the reactions. I was kindo' wondering how you guys would react, since this is song is really trespassing on opeths terririum, it's almost an opeth cover.

The acoustics from 2:09 and the heavy riff following sound like their own mix on an Opeth theme. Very good indeed. It doesn't seem this way as of yet but, I hope no one refuses to like this because they are trying to sound like Opeth.

The very first part was my favourite of the whole song. It's a pity they try too hard to be Opeth, too often their riffs and especially song structure come off as sounding like "thats what opeth would do", rather than being the best direction for the song to take. I'm not fussed about people drawing heavy influence from stuff, but this does go too far. They are obviously talented musicians, but it's not that hard to write with feeling and ignore the ideas about how your favourite band might do it. My project gets compared to Opeth regularly too, but its not done quite this blatantly.

The beginning sounds too much like pink floyd for me...and the main distortion riff in the beginning sounds too messy....
