Paninis are the 'whole package', admittedly, but I rarely have the time/energy to make a whole sandwich.

Given that I'm pretty much a 'just bread and butter' kinda girl anyway the flavour of the bagel itself is far superior (in my humble opinion ) to the flavour of the panini bread. I particularly adore toasted onion bagels with butter. If I could get hold of onion paninis (without having to bake them myself) then I'd be a very happy lady.
