Pack plays someone, I'm more interested in my baseball gents right now. The might sign Manny Ramirez. They have to sign barry back though.

the giants did sign Barroid Bonds yesterday for 1 more year, too bad stupid Bochy is with him now, he was the only stupid manager that would pitch to him,Barroid holds a record of 80 home runs against the Padre pitchers :puke:

I wish ManRam would stay in Boston and get over himself. I don't like the current signing trends for the Sox. Looks like another second place finish this year if they don't find somebody to replace ManRam (or find a way to sign him and get his head back in the game). JD Drew is the most worthless signing ever.

Now, my Cubs, on the other hand, are going for it this year. They'll be in the penant race for sure, and I would speculate we'll see them killing the goat this year.

LOF'nL @ "Barroid"!!!

Oh yeah, Soriano was big, but Lilly isn't that great.

Soriano COULD be huge, but one man does not make a team, or win a pennant. I wasn't thrilled with spending the $'s on Lilly....There has to be better free agent pitchers than that.....

Lilly's a solid lefty starter, something the Cubs have lacked sorely over the last few years. Put him in with Zambrano and (hopefully) a re-emergent Wood and (hopefully more) a recovered Prior, that's four solid starters. Hopefully the defense will play solid behind them so Z and Prior can battle each other for the CY.

Yes, there are better free agents than Lilly, but he's a solid lefty starter and that gives him bonus points.

It will be interesting to see if they can close the deals on Meche and Cliff Floyd. That's lookin' like a monster offense.

.

Wanna make a bet? I say that Prior or Wood will never play a full season again.

they should use Wood as a closer, maybe he can finish a season

I didn't get to see any games aside from LT's record breaker. I was prepping the living room floors for the new bamboo flooring and the new hearth around the fireplace. Home builders and their contractors are such lazy asses when it comes to building houses. If you want to change anything, you get to uncover and correct all their f'in' short cuts. Assholes!
