Trying to micro-classify music is just getting silly. Death, thrash, black, math, speed, whatever...it's metal. Same as not trying to classify yourself at all by calling yourself "alternative". Fuck that, most people that call themselves "alternative" are either plain old rock or plain old pop music. And I emphasize the word "plain".
