The three headline acts for Ozzfest 2005 have been announced.

Black Sabbath
Iron Maiden
Anthrax with Joey Belladonna

What a fucking mistake. Talk about a step backwards. Fuck.

Iron Maiden? 'Twould be mad cool. Worth going to Ozzfest at that point...between those two and Slayer I'd actually be willing to sit through the likes of Atreyu and Cradle of Filth.

why do bands deny rumors, only for them to turn out to be true? remember how vehemently judas priest denied halford coming back??????? morbid angel denied david vincent coming back too. then look what happened.

when has blabbermouth actually fucked up something?????

Possible scenarios why the band denies it:

1) It isn't true. Best of all possible worlds. Let's keep hoping.

2) Some sort of muzzle-clause in the contract. If so, it's a bad move, as the silence and/or denials aggravates the fans, and causes us to fight with each other (see the three dozen threads) or mistrust the band, and it leaves no surprise when it finally does get announced because it's already been spread all over the net.

3) It's not true AND there's some sort of muzzle-clause in the contract offered by Sharon Osbourne in order to mislead Joey fans into buying tickets for Ozzfest before they realize what's going on, after Sharon started the rumors to Blabbermouth in the first place to get hype started. Convoluted, manipulative, and stupid, but hey, that's Sharon.

4) The band, and its management and label doesn't care to keep us in the loop.

5) john bush forces anthrax to consider a new line up,instead of the band dogging him in the press for his reasons they give themselves time to regroup and and original band member line-up seems the best way to go!

Well writen!

If i realy speak as a old scholl metal fan, that is the chance of the lifetime to see this 3 bands together!
because Maiden is playing only songs of ther 4 first albums on this summer tour! I would be a great old - schoool metal day!
but I would only believe in it, if it realy confirmed, and as you see everywhere confirmed is nothing yet
