Parkway Drive Studio Vid

Good vid, good to get some insight. It does actually have some different elements to their usual stuff, not ground breaking, but it's always nice to hear a band mature after each album, but it's still too early to tell!
As for Baressi's little comment at the end, it does play a little sour, I mean, it did seem like a bit of an arrogant comment and a bit demeaning to Adam D, if anything, it should definitely not have been the last bit of the vid... But I understand from the BANDS perspective why they kept it!

Either way, I look forward to this!

yeah, he has his own sample set for BFD/BFD2, and Toontrack just ported it over as well.

ryan has this little stream thing set up and he showed me some of the snares and a mix he's working on using the baressi drums for superior 2

they sound amaaaazing.

now all we need is an impulse of the "pipe bomb mic" he used on 10,000 days. :D

Bear in mind the Baressi pack was done aaaagggeees ago for BFD1 originally. so the sound in that pack isn't quite the same as the sound on 10,000 Days.

Still a fucking good pack though.

What's the pipe bomb mic? The same as the infamous ELEPHANT COCK?

I'll wait for the album to judge the production... sounds like the drum tones will be kinda cool, guitars are a bit fizzy, snare and vocals are LOUDER THAN FUCK though.

Not really convinced that Baressi's style works incredibly well for this genre... it's got more power than Adam's mixes, but nowhere near the control and sheen.

I dig it, at least it's interesting to hear a different approach, although I agree that it doesn't cater well to most of the song. I feel that the "rock'ish" ending of the song is the part where the mix works well with the song's arrangement. Another thought I had, was that it resembles a live mix in many ways. Sort of a DVD mix without the audience mics
