Loving this song, the vocals sound a bit more like Winston's guest appearance on 50 lions latest release.
The song sounds alright to me... Not exactly the strongest PWD song I've ever heard though. I really don't feel like Joe Baressi did much for their sound. To me it just sounds like a slightly crappy version of Adam D's sound... Most definitely nothing to get excited over...

to me it sounds like Baressi cant control the low end all too well.

not digging it.The recording sounds pretty boring to me. guitars are thin, vocals are loud and sound a little too clear for this style(if that's possible)...and maybe it's just me, but there could have been some vocal layering or something to break up the monotony.
I actually kind of like the amount of low end though.

I think you're just being a tad picky? Haha, this does sound pretty tight.
edit: just compared the new track to the older ones. this mix is far more aurally pleasing IMO. far fuller and smoother. the horizons mix sounds like someone made a fuck load of weird notch eq's all over the place. feels weird.
agreed at vocals being too loud and clean on this new track though

I thought it was good. But I think it's just a cleaner more polised sound, nothing drastically different and it's obvious the band pretty much did all the decision makin cause it still sounds like pwd. Eiter way, sounds good and they seem pretty happy

kick needs some quantizing in a few places, and guitar doesnt stick out enough for me. i like horizons better mix and song wise.

Deane, Parkway went to Baressi, they wanted a different sound from their last two albums because of the whole "moving forward" and concept album thing. Wasn't a huge move forward ironically.

Just checked the new song on Myspace. Kinda confused. I think the individual tones actually sound pretty kick-ass, but IMHO the balances are all over the place. Maybe it's just my personal preference, but such a simple change as bringing the guitars up quite a bit and pulling the vocals down would make this sound awesome :O
