Gotta agree. I don't mind their stuff, but you definitely have a low standard for "perfect"
Well i'll take back what i said previously. I gave TW,TT,ATSOTP another chance and it is better then their new album.are you serious? wow you must be huffing the gas then.
don't even start with your shit, we both obviously heard the album at different times. Where as this album is not only beautiful for a stoned induced nature expedition it also brings back a lot memories for me. Where as you probably just heard it because of the all praise it gets and don't have the same connection with the album as me. Low standards, if disintegration is a low standard then you must be the one huffing the gas.
i could name indisputably dull/awkward moments in pretty much every one of those releases even though i love over half of them, which kind of renders this discussion irrelevant. funnily enough i think crystal logic, maybe my favourite on that whole list, has some of the most notably mediocre sections (and i'm not merely talking about feeling free again), and while i don't doubt that this perception has something to do with the sheer brilliance of the stuff surrounding them, that does lead me to question whether 'perfection' is really something to strive for - whether it isn't really just another term for playing it safe.
The more I listen to Rome's Flowers From Exile, the more I think that it's a nearly perfect album.
