I think they're ok for a bit of fun. Futurama had it's moments as did South Park. The Simpsons is one of the best shows on TV. But really, sports is the only thing I consistently sit down and watch.

What about Futurama?

Apart from the shaky first half of the first reason I really enjoyed that and thought it was much better than The Simpsons was at that point anymore. Why they cancelled that and continued making even more Simpsons seasons is beyond me. I guess it was the "safe" thing to do from a marketing point of view.

futurama never impressed me. but ill admit i never spent much time trying to get into it. to answer your question about the simpons/futurama....its because futurama had no characters anyone cared about. maybe the jokes were funny...but the simspons are a household name...with a cartoon family that people have put stock in for years now and enjoy following. its just about ratings really.

Yeah Family Guy gets very predictable. It can be kinda fun but it is just not anywhere near as well written as shows like the Simpsons and Futurama. Nor as well animated or voiced. Loads of Family Guy voices are done by people with such a small range that you can always tell they are the same person. That is one thing that amazes me about Futurama and The Simpsons, some of the actors on those shows are incredible. Especially Billy West on Futurama, that man is not human when it comes to doing crazy voices.

^ Nah that would just be part of my ultimate simpson episode. Actually Immortal has to be part of my dream episode of any comedic series. They are the very definition of comedy imo.
