I hate most metal fans have no idea of the current indie scene. Buy a Spoon record or two.

Although there are quite a few awesome indie bands, the majority all sound the same to me. My favourite indie bands would probably be The Dear Hunter, Death From Above 1979, dEUS, and Iron and Wine.

Yeah, most Punk fans I know are like "Punk is not dead! My band is gonna bring it back with less than 3 power chords!"

Stop trying to bring something back that has been dead for a long time. I listen to Punk because I enjoy it, I might make a Punk song or two, but its not like I aim to bring Punk back.

But in terms of music, slow/boring acoustic songs that make me struggle to keep myself awake. I'm just not into songs like that.

Dearhunter is really good. Animal Collective is by far one of the best indie bands right now.

I agree, Strawberry Jam is an amazing album...Iron & Wine come close imo with Shepherd's Dog, although I enjoy the older stuff more.
