Autumn arrived
Dense fog lingers
Ashes of past
Nigh is the hour
Torn from my embrace
A forlorn day
Embraced the night
With the guilt and my shame
Darkness enclosed
My solitary thoughts
Awaiting word
On the bed of nails
Glisten light
Faded to black
Once I crave
Erased from my past

She spoke to break the silence
Gazing upon the set sun
Warm breath flickering stare
Her eyes fixed on mine
Into the unknown she lumbers
The spirits in her footsteps
The trees call out to her
To return to her forsaken abode

Swaying unto me
Days of yesterday
Warmth of the touch
Forgotten the taste
I shall seek my fate
Heart glowed with hope
In midst of disorder

Alone I wander
For you I search the nights
My fate is not what it seems
With you I shall be one, again

Torn from my embrace
Eyes fixed on the sight
I have faltered too long
None shall stop me now
Your stare unto the moon
I see it in the stars
Ashen from the solitude
I brace for eternal bliss

Here you come
And stay with me
I will be
The perfect one
Long brown hair
(Say those words)
Your graceful eyes
(Make you stay)
Fall to the side
As you take my hand

Return from my troubled past
Your breath felt like heaven
No longer by my side
The loneliness that I loathe

I like your stuff dude, i really think you have some talent there. your recordings sometimes sound a bit rushed and unpolished though, ofcourse they are demos but i'd love to hear some carefully chosen waz songs truly thought out and polished to an album, i would definitely buy it. you have alot of brain storming going on, there's alot of brilliant stuff mixed there with a little more unserious stuff.

A quick heads-up:

smw8xsunl7794b103f931d5zp5.gif

Dan Nahum of Ironwood/Sword Toward Self fame has been working hard at a new metal zine called Eightfold Sun, issue 1 of which, is available now. Its got interviews & features with

Ansur
Pestilential Shadows
Nazxul
Synperium

and many others (including us) as well as a full 13-track cd with all the artists covered. It's a great read & listen, and on top buying a copy would be a great show of support for all the hard work Dan does for the local scene. Its also a great way to get interested in the aforementioned bands!

The zine + cd is only $8 AUD and is avaliable from Le Cabinet Des Curiosities on Enmore Rd in Sydney and directly by contacting Eightfold Sun: eightfoldsun[at]gmail.com or through us (smw)

it will also be avaliable at all our upcoming shows. for those of you interested in smw, the zine has our first ever full interview which goes very in-depth into what makes us tick and is our first zine appearance too (heapz collect0rz item  )

New short video I put up on YouTube today. I decided to play the sweep picking solo from Selkies by Between The Buried And Me. Believe me, it's a bitch!

Enjoy :)

If anyone would care to check out www.myspace.com/grymskald and tell me what you think of my songs, I'd really appreciate it. Thiestru is my one-man 'band', and I take a lot of influence from Katatonia, Opeth, and some Blind Guardian (mostly in the vocal harmonies). Those two songs don't give the full picture, but if you like the aforementioned bands, as well as old Ulver, Agalloch, Anathema, Tenhi, and Finntroll, you might like my stuff. Thanks!

By the way, here are the lyrics to the two songs on my MySpace. Reading them might tell you if you're interested in listening or not.

Over Mount and Valley

A crown of leaves
A throne of trees
With both feet resting on the hill
The first birds singing
The springtime bringing
Ghost winds clawing through the mill

No soul to bear
To heaven's lair
I gave it up long ago to you
I won't regret
If you don't forget
Everything I promised you was true

Will I find you by
If I faster fly
Over mount and valley, over wilds?
Or will you go
To where no one knows
Beyond the farthest reaches, wayward child?

I will follow anywhere
You lead me
If even to my death
You bring me

I will savor every breath
Till I close my eyes
And my last thought will be of you
When it's finally time to die

Long-Forgotten Summers

Autumn comes, summer's gone
Winter plays the heartstrings
Spring subsides, summer dies
Winter outstays its time

And the night is dark
Like never before
And the morn still comes
But with it brings no warmth
Sorrow fills my eyes
Frozen are the tears I cry
There's no promise of another spring

Shadows of long-forgotten summers fall on me

You look to me to make things right
But hope is gone beyond my sight
What righteous man can save the day?
Winter blew it all away

Now my joy lives beneath a snowdrift
A seed that sleeps under the chill
Buried now, but with a chance to bloom
If summer hastens to us soon

Shadows of long-forgotten summers fall on me
Shadows of long-forgotten summers....

I like your stuff, very teathrical (wtf how do I write that) voice

Lol I recorded heir apparent again because the first one was very shitty and found out by ear so there was so many mistakes (as well as off parts :D ), in this one I played it by listening to Guitar Pro's Drums and Bass lines but intro and the outro seem a little out compared to real song but I liked that one...
