Pale Folklore also has a lot of black metal-ish guitar riffs and black metal vocals.

It's not that I don't believe you, it's just that in my experience, the 'girls' that like Opeth have unusually large hands, an abnormally pronounced Adam's apple and facial hair a good deal more dense than anything Mikael has ever managed to grow.

Pretty much all Emperor is wicked good.
Kind of a grower.
One of the first BM albums I ever heard, and I still have a place in my heart for it, no matter how terrible Dani Filth is.

You know what? Just about everything i have ever heard you say, i agree with. This post is so fucking true! Damnation And A Day... is so BEAUTIFULLY written, the way he just weaves imagery into his words, unremarkable. Not just that album, but many i have found, also especially Midian. Yes, some of you (well most of you) may think that he is a shit vocalist, and that is fair enough. But a good lyricist is most definetly true. On ya Don
