I dip my forefinger...
The vocalist for Dawn used to be in In Flames circa Subterannean, I have heard "Slaughtersun" but haven't really got into it yet...
LOL this forum is just full of cunts. I expected to get a fewat my top 10list, but for you guys to go off telling me it was a typo how i said it was unremarkable? I have studied the concept behind DAAD, i've read all of his inspirations, which led me to read Paradise Lost, which is an amazing book, and has led me to start writing things like that of my own for essays etc. You read the DAAD concept, and tell me that you can come up with something better than that. If you think you can then you've gotta be pulling shit out of your ass. Yes, some of you may think his vocals are unbearable, which is fair enough, although i don't agree. Just because it's Dani Filth, everyone just goes and instantly thinks SHIT, you guys are so closed minded.

Any of you who like Dissection should also check out the Slaughtersun album by Dawn.
re: Dawn - Slaughtersun
Good album - Henki Forss' vocals are just vicious on this disc, really raw. Lots of great riffs throughout but unfortunately many of the songs go on for way too long, dragging out the same verse/riff for too many repetitions.
Still, one of the better melodic death albums of that time. The EP before it was also really solid too, songs had better progression overall.
-gg
np: Rapture - Futile
and not black metal
here a few of my examples hard choices overall..
Emperor-Anthems to the welkin at dusk
Thorns-Thorns
Ishtar-Krig
Ulver-Bergtatt
Dissection-The somberlain
Arcturus-Aspera Hiems Symfonia(original version)
Satyricon-Dark Medieval times
Burzum-Hvis Lyset Tar Oss
Mayhem-De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas
Dimmu Borgir-Spiritual Black Dimensions
Enslaved isn't considered bm?
well....enslaved is "black metal", the same way that Opeth is "death metal". if that makes sense. ^_^
