Gojira
Edge of Sanity
Death
Meshuggah (sort of)

Everyone else posted a list, so I figured I would. I've really been digging the first albums by Pavor & Spawn of Possession a lot lately.

The bands I posted are more tech than prog death, but still killer. Don't know much about prog death unless you count older bands like Death & Atheist.

What about Orphaned Land? I dunno if they count. Also, Cynic are generally considered prog death.
I'd say Opeth aren't really death metal.

You got that right. The one closest to prog is Cynic, and they aren't really death metal either. Other technical death metal to check out:

I used to really big into them. They're fucking awesome, good call. Probably not for everyone though. I've heard very bad things be said about them here, & that made me sad.
