progressive death metal

I used to really big into them. They're fucking awesome, good call. Probably not for everyone though. I've heard very bad things be said about them here, & that made me sad.
Makes me sad to considering what cool guys they are and also how I don't see how anyone could hate them, as they are not highly regarded (so no one could say they're overrated), and they clearly are competent musicians; I could see someone saying "i don't like their music, it does not interest me" or even "It's boring as fuck", but I don't really see how you could say anything really bad since they essentially do what they do well and don't make a big deal about it.
The worst thing I have to say about them is that they're a bunch of lazy motherfuckers; RELEASE ORWARRIOR. NOW.

I was actually joking as I like RTC, but they should have stopped there.
I don't get this. It just doesn't make sense. RTC is great, but how can you like it and not like Nightmares? Nightmares is better imo, but at the very least it's undeniably very solid death metal.

JJ: Nile isn't Progressive Death Metal

I actually said all the stuff I posted was tech death. I only listen to like 4-5 bands I would consider prog death, & I didn't post any of them. I dig Nile though. I know they're well known, but I figured I would include them.

Blotted Science

Progressive "death" metal...??

I forgot they were releasing a new album. I can't wait. They seem to get better with every album, so that's a great sign. Great fucking band. I definitely would not say they were "well known" but there is a buzz about them on the internet. They unfortunately have haters though, which is understandable.

I listened to Between the Buried and Me after hearing so much talk about them from my friend, and I must say, pretty decent stuff, don't know if I'd call it progressive death metal but it's in that direction. Get Alaska or their newest Colors (only two I've heard mind you).

Technically they are brilliant tbh but I've never been able to get into them, it all seems to sound the same. I do like the solo to Selkies, or whatever, though.
