Yeah, i actually just recently started to catagorize all my parts in which modes or scales they go in, it makes playing so much easier, especially if you want to write a transition. When you write start to just be able to instantly recognize the scale and what mode picture its in, and also what posisiton.
Ive noticed alexi use lots of Diminished arpegios in his sweeps and the Dminor scale is used alot.
