i recently discovered katatonia music even i´m not a big fan of this kind i must say that i´me very impressed with it, i heard Viva emptiness(which i own) and last fair deal gone down and i like to know your opinion because i think that VE is heavier that LFDGD, so i´d like to hear something that mixed the supossed heaviness form their early stuff with their new sound, not so melodic and not so hard, i ask this due to the extensive discography of Katatonia, thanks
PD: Viva Emptiness is pretty good

Discouraged Ones. or Tonights decision as well. you might as well get them both, tonights decision has been re-released yet again as a digi-pack, and its about £7/$10 which is great value, dont pay much more than that.

well i think that the whole katatonia stuff is very melodic and listenable,
the only difference -i can tell- between the first albums and the ones after discouraged ones is that in the first albums they have slower tempos and harsh growling vocals -doomer stuff-, but very good tough...and in the newer albums, well, you already know what you've got :D
but anyways give it a try, i recommend brave murder day and sounds of decay...
