I have noticed that lip piercings are really getting popular in all teenage/college age social groups, and I don't get it. They generally aren't attractive. I noticed it while driving a truck, I saw teen girls in the middle of fucking nowhere in Idaho get out of a cow hauling truck and have a couple of lip studs, and then started noticing them in every other western state to.

I got back home eventually and then noticed that this girl that works at the local gym got one while I was out on the road. WTF is with this trend.

I've sort of noticed that what used to be viewed as skanky/whore-ish is now cool.

Also the pictures on page one are proff enough of why a new disease needs to kill everyone uke:.

But it is not necessarily attractive (like say, a mini-skirt or high boots or something). Piercings are generally a turn off for me so maybe that is why I am reacting to the trend negatively.

Not really, it's quite ethnically diverse. But it's the most 'Chinese' that I could digest.

I was born a Singaporean lived there a fair bit, served my military service there as well. Both my parents are of mixed ethnicity. I'm of Dutch, Chinese, Javanese, Arab and Indian.

We're not all related in Singapore . Yes, there are alot of Chinese people in Singapore but nowhere nearly as many as there are in China obviously. My friends from there say that lately there's a huge influx of Indians from the mainland as well in the past 2 years.

On topic:

I don't understand the fuss about scenesters or hipsters, I don't see why bands like WITTR get bagged for being hipster bands. Sounds like black metal to me. As far as I care, I don't see the difference between a hipster or a scenester. They all look annoying, whether it be goth or emo or whatever.
