I'm just getting into Opeth, and I'm amazed at the amount of ridiculously awesome riffs they cram into each song. I'm thinking that's gotta take forever to write. How often to those guys put out albums?

Alright, ignore all of those guys -- here's someone who has actually listened to Opeth before.

album: "Orchid" (1995)
album: "Morningrise" (1996)
album: "My Arms, Your Hearse" (1998)
album: "Still Life" (1999)
album: "Blackwater Park" (2001)
album: "Deliverance" (2002)
album: "Damnation" (2003)
album: "Ghost Reveries" (2005)
album: "The Roundhouse Tapes" (2007)
album: "Watershed" (2008)

As you can see, it is anywhere between a 1 year and a 2 year wait.

Ignore this guy with his logical and correct response.

About 2-3 years.

Well, Mikael can write an album in 5-6 months too. So we are not precisely correct with these dates. But anyways

About 2 -3 years :)
